In 2014 I completed my Master’s in cognitive neuroscience from China. In October 2014, I started my PhD study at Utrecht University under the supervision of Henk Aarts and Tom Damen. My PhD study investigates the mechanisms underlie the subjective experience of causality/ sense of agency - the feeling that one has caused her own actions and following effects. My research focuses on the relationship between action selection and the sense of agency and more specifically, by using the interference paradigm - Simon task, we want to learn more about how cognitive control influence both the implicit and explicit sense of agency.
